Watch: Supreme Court bans NCERT class 8 books with controversial chapter on judiciary

A day after taking suo motu cognisance of controversial references to “corruption” in a Class 8 Social Science textbook, the Supreme Court of India ordered a complete ban on its reprinting and digital circulation. The Court directed immediate seizure of copies and warned of contempt if its order is violated.
