Patient shot dead at UP hospital over love affair; cop held

A 38-year-old man was shot dead in an Aligarh hospital by a PAC jawan and an accomplice, allegedly over a five-year-long love affair. The victim, Vedpal Singh, had reportedly tried to disrupt the woman's arranged marriage, leading to threats and his eventual death. The woman's father, a UP Police constable, has been arrested.
