Dalit labourer lynched in Kerala over suspicion of being Bangladeshi

Kerala government pledged at least Rs 10 lakh compensation to the family of Ramnarayan Baghel, a Chhattisgarh labourer lynched in Palakkad after being mistaken for a thief or "Bangladeshi." Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan condemned the "unacceptable" killing, ordering a swift investigation. Five suspects have been arrested, and the body will be flown home at state expense.
