Amit Shah chairs meet on setting up port security agency

Home minister Amit Shah chaired a meeting to establish the Bureau of Port Security (BoPS), a new statutory body modelled after the BCAS. BoPS will regulate and oversee ship and port facility security nationwide, focusing on a graded, risk-based approach and cyber security. This initiative aligns with the government's vision for port-led growth and a blue economy.
