Delhi HC grants centre more time to act on Celina Jaitly’s brother's detention

Celina Jaitly's brother, Maj (Rtd) Vikrant Kumar Jaitly, remains detained in the UAE since September 2024. The Delhi High Court has directed the Ministry of External Affairs to appoint a legal firm to represent him. The court granted the Centre additional time to pursue diplomatic efforts after UAE authorities declined a consular access request.
