Commercial advertisement hoardings to be banned near heritage structures

Urban Development Minister Byrathi Suresh says that over the past seven to eight years, thousands of unauthorised advertisements had come up across the State without payment of any fee or tax to local bodies, resulting in significant revenue losses running into hundreds of crores.
