The project envisages drawing water from the Cauvery near Saragur village in Kollegal taluk and pumping it to the Uduthorehalla reservoir in Hanur taluk. From there, water will be supplied to tanks, lakes and check dams in Kurattihosuru, Santekane and surrounding areas
